Norma Smith (Republican) represents the 10th Legislative District, which includes all of Island County, and parts of Skagit and Snohomish Counties. First appointed to the House in January, 2008 to serve an unexpired term, Norma is now serving her fourth term.

Norma’s professional experience includes work in the private and non-profit sectors providing operational and communications expertise. For six years, she worked as Special Assistant to Congressman Jack Metcalf. She successfully built bipartisan congressional support on issues important to our military members and veterans.

Norma is active in her community and church, having served on the South Whidbey School Board, and mentoring young adults.

Norma lives in Clinton on Whidbey Island. Her family includes four wonderful grown children and their families.
