Ann Rivers (Republican) represents the 18th Legislative District serving parts of Clark and Cowlitz counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 and sworn in January, 2011 to serve an unexpired term. Ann is presently serving her first term as state senator after two years in the House.

Her legislative priorities include responsible state spending, strengthening the economy, and offering every child an opportunity to succeed in school.

She has a bachelor’s degree in political science (minoring in natural science and history) and a secondary-education teaching certificate.

Ann heads a governmental and public-affairs consulting firm in La Center, where she resides with husband Fred and two sons.
