Shirley Rector
Shirley Rector (Democrat) served as Representative from the 5th Legislative District encompassing northwest Spokane and Spokane County. She
served 1989-1992.
Shirley served as Legislation and Education Chairperson for Local 338 of the United Steelworkers of America. She was an active member in the community, serving on the Neighborhood Accountability Board for the Spokane County Juvenile Court volunteer services. She was recognized for her involvement in training and educating members of the community in grass roots politics.
She and her husband were long-time residents of the community.
