June Leonard
June Leonard (Democrat) represented the 11th Legislative District including areas from Kennydale, downtown Renton, and up both sides of
the Duwamish River corridor (I-5) into downtown Seattle. She served from 1985-1994. She passed away on April 21, 1994.
Born in Seattle, she was a life-long resident of Washington.
Former Executive Director of Renton Area Youth Services and a member of the Renton School Board. She was a long-time activist in community organizations. She had an interest in children and family issues, drug abuse prevention, health promotion, senior services, education, vocational education and environmental programs.
Her family included nine children.
