Georgia Gardner
Georgia Gardner (Democrat) represented Whatcom County in the 42nd Legislative District, which included Blaine, Sumas and northern Bellingham. She served one term in the House of Representatives before being elected to the Senate in 1998 and being sworn in to serve an unexpired term. She served in the Senate until 2003.

A Central Washington University graduate in accounting, she also received a Master's degree in taxation.

She owned a certified public accounting firm in Blaine, which focused on US-Canadian cross-border businesses, and on individuals who worked bewtween the two countries.

Georgia was active in her church and in community and service organizations in Blaine and Whatcom counties.

She had two children.
