Mary Lou Dickerson (Democrat) represented the 36th Legislative District which encompassed a portion of King County. She was appointed to serve an unexpired term in November, 1994 and served until her retirement in 2013.

Mary Lou was a community leader who helped found Treehouse and the Ballard Family Center.

She received master's degree in social work and completed postgraduate work in business administration.

Her Legislative career focused on the needs of Washington's children and families, creating a healthy environment and common-sense transportation solutions.

She and her husband have two children.
