Sherry Appleton
Sherry Appleton (Democrat) represents the 23rd Legislative District, including Bainbridge Island, Keyport, Kingston, Suquamish, Port Gamble, Silverdale, and East Bremerton. First elected in 2005, she is serving her fifth term.

Sherry serves on the state Sentencing Guidelines Commission and chairs its Juvenile Sentencing Committee.

She has served on the Poulsbo City Council, the state Commission on Judicial Conduct, and the Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission.

Recent accolades include the John Heinz Memorial Award from the National Adult Day Services Association, the Champion of Justice Award from the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Legislator of the Year from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

A longtime Poulsbo resident, she has a blended family of five children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
