Jeannette Wood
Jeannette Wood (Republican) served the 21st Legislative District, including Woodway, Edmonds, Mukilteo and portions of Lynnwood and
Mountlake Terrace. She was appointed to the House of Representatives in July, 1988 to serve an unexpired term. She served in the House
until her appointment to the Senate in 1994 where she served until 1999.
The former Mayor of Woodway, Jeannette served for six years on the Woodway City Council. She also served on the Edmonds Community College
Foundation; the Displaced Homemakers Advisory Board; and the United Way of Snohomish County.
Jeannette was a member of Rotary and was active in numerous charitable organizations.
She was a graduate of Cornell University.
A long-term resident of South Snohomish, Jeannette and her husband had six children.
