Gael Tarleton
Gael Tarleton (Democrat) represents the 36th Legislative District – home to Ballard, Magnolia, Belltown, Queen Anne, Greenwood, Phinney Ridge, South Lake Union, and public parks and beaches.
Elected to the House of Representatives in 2012, she is serving her first term.
Gael previously served five years as an elected Port of Seattle commissioner.
She has worked at UW since 2004 to help faculty win research grants. She also was a research analyst at the Pentagon and international business director at a technology company.
Gael grew up north of Boston and earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees at Georgetown University.
She and her husband, Bob, have lived in Ballard nearly two decades.
