Margarita Prentice
Margarita Prentice (Democrat) served in the 11th Legislative District which included Beacon Hill, South Park and portions of Seattle, Renton,
Kent, Tukwila, Burien and SeaTac. Originally appointed to the House of Representatives in 1988 to serve an unexpired term, she served
there until 1993
when she was elected to a seat in the state Senate where she served until 2011. She also served as Senate Pro Tempore.
Attended Phoenix College; Youngstown University, Ohio; St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Phoenix; and the University of Washington.
A retired registered nurse, she worked in administration, the emergency room, obstetrics and long term care.
She had three children.
