Cheryl A. Pflug
Cheryl A. Pflug (Republican) served the 5th Legislative District which included North Bend, the upper Snoqualmie Valley, Issaquah, Maple Valley,
Sammamish and portions of east Renton. First elected to the House of Representatives in 1999, she served until she was appointed to serve an
unexpired term in the State Senate in January, 2004. She served there until July, 2012 when she was appointed to the Washington State Growth Management
Hearings Board.
Cheryl was a nationally recognized leader in health care policy and worked to make quality health care accessible and affordable. She earned
a reputation as a strong advocate for Washington schools and for offering creative solutions to the state's transportation needs.
She emphasized more responsive and efficient state government and upholding the rights of residents and businesses in the communities she served.
Cheryl was a registered nurse and the mother of four children.
