Frances Haddon Morgan
Frances Haddon Morgan (Democrat)
represented [the 23rd] district of Kitsap County in the
House of Representatives during the 1959
session, and in the Senate, from 1960 to
1968. Her mother, Lu Lu Haddon, also served
in both the House and Senate, between the
years 1932 and 1942.
Born in Bremerton, Morgan [wa]s a lifelong
resident of that city. She received a business
school education and owned and operated a
welcoming service.
Senator Morgan may be best known for
her devotion to the advancement of mentally
handicapped individuals, and the center that
is named after her.
