Gertrude Johnson
Gertrude Johnson (Democrat) represented
[the 23rd] district of Kitsap County in the
House of Representatives. Appointed in
1943, she served one term.
Born in Indiana, Johnson made her
home in Rolling Bay, Washington.
Active in the Chamber of Commerce --
and in county Democratic politics,
Representative Johnson was appointed
chairwoman of the Kitsap County
Democratic Central Committee in 1944, and served in that position for eleven years.
