Jennifer Belcher (Democrat) served as a Representative for Legislative District 22, comprising most of Thurston County. She served five terms, was chair of the House Natural Resources and Park Committee from 1988-1992 and was a member of Appropriations, Judiciary, and Revenue.

Jennifer was a long-time Olympia resident, president of Managment Dynamics and worked as a state employee for many years. She was an active member of the community, serving on various boards of directors.

She was nationally recognized for innovate management and training programs and interest in government and politics.

Jennifer was elected to serve as State Commissioner of Public Lands in 1993.
