Val Stevens
Val Stevens (Republican) represented the 39th Legislative District which included parts of King, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties. She served two terms in the House of Representatives, 1993-1997 and four terms in the Senate, 1997-2013.

Val dedicated her career to strengthening Washington's families and was named NFIB "Legislator of the Decade" in 2010 for her support of small business.

She was a charter member, Better Government Bureau; and served on the Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

She and her husband had two sons.
