Jan Shabro (Republican) served in the 31st Legislative District representing residents of south King County and northeast Pierce County. She served two terms in the House of Representatives, 2003-2007.

Jan earned a B.S. in Education and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Pacific Lutheran University.

Prior to being elected to the House, Shabro was a member of the Pierce County Council from 1994-2002.

She worked as a special education instructor for the Tacoma School District and  taught management courses for the Boeing Company. Jan was a founding member of the Lake Tapps Task force, and past president of the Economic Development Corporation of Pierce County.

Jan and her husband had four children.
