Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Republican) served as Representative from the 7th Legislative District comprising Pend Oreille, Stevens, Ferry, Lincoln and parts of Spokane and Okanogan counties. She was appointed to the House of Representatives in 1994 to serve an unexpired term and went on to serve six terms. She was elected to Congress representing the 5th Congressional District in 2005 and continues to serve in that capacity.

Cathy holds a B.A. in pre-law from Pensacola Christian College and an executive M.B.A. from the University of Washington.

She was a member of a variety of organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Washington State Grange, Washington State Cattlemen's Association, Washington State Farm Bureau and Washington Rural Health Care Association.

She lived on a family-owned orchard.
