Jeralita "Jeri" Costa
Jeralita "Jeri" Costa (Democrat) was elected to serve the 38th Legislative District, including Everett and Marysville. She served two terms in the House of Representatives, 1995-1999; she then won a seat in the Senate and served until 2003.

A graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School, Jeri's formal education included journalism, paralegal, business administration, financial and personnel management.

She served as executive director of Families and Friends of Violet Crime Victims from 1989-1993, and continued as a member of their advisory board.

She taught workshops on victim services, criminal justice, corrections and nonprofit management issues through the country.

A citizen activist and community volunteer, Jeri was also a private sector employee for many years.
